You cannot judge bedding in a shop, and you cannot judge linen without washing it. So sleep in it for a month. If it is not right, send it back for a full refund even though it has been used and laundered — that is the whole point of the offer.

Linen is the one material people return most, and almost always for a reason the product page already told them about.
It creases within an hour of being made. It softens for about two years and then stops. Dark shades show lint. The flax is grown in France and Belgium and spun and woven in Lithuania, and we wash every piece twice before it ships so it arrives soft rather than needing a season to get there.
If a crease would bother you every morning, buy the brushed cotton or the percale instead. Both are in the range for exactly that reason, and we would rather sell you the right one once.
Linen creases permanently in a wash unless you shake it out damp. Olive oil does not come out of a linen tablecloth. Dark linen picks up lint from wool. All three are true of every linen, ours included.
